Contact a Nurse

If you have questions about your health and do not have a Doctor's office to call, go to the Contact a Nurse page and call the number for your state. It will take you to a professional Nurse who can help answer your questions.

Our Mission

The Barbershop Blood Pressure program gives automated blood pressure and heart rhythm monitors to Barbershops and Hair Salons so they can screen their clients for Hypertension and Atrial Fibrillation. We also provide educational resources and connections to local health clinics and support to help identify, prevent, and treat these problems.

About Us

Hi, I am Steve.

I have been a nurse for over 45 years having worked in Emergency Departments, Intensive Care Units, and Cardiac areas taking care of people who had strokes, heart attacks, and heart rhythm problems.

In early 2023 I unknowingly developed Atrial Fibrillation and had a stroke. The whole left half of my body went numb and weak and my wife, who was as terrified as I was, rushed me to the hospital.

Fortunately, those symptoms improved and I was released from the hospital with a minor brain injury. I was very lucky, as I could have lost function to half of my body. I personally know what is at stake.

My parents both smoked, drank, and were not physically active. My father passed away in his 50s, leaving me way too soon. They were wonderful people, but they did not take care of themselves.

My goal is to open the door for YOU to improve YOUR health and life, so that YOU do not end up in a hospital or morgue, leaving your family and friends behind too soon.

Walk through this door to a healthier and happier life. You deserve it.
