Cholesterol

Cholesterol is found in animal products, processed foods, cooking oils and other foods. Some cholesterol is healthy, but too much cholesterol in the body builds fatty deposits in the walls of the arteries that that can block the flow of blood paving the way for a stroke or heart attack.

A blood test is the only way to know your cholesterol levels. Maintaining a normal level is especially helpful if you have a family history of high cholesterol, high blood pressure, stroke, or heart attack.
