Healthcare workers have a calculation using weight and height to determine a healthy weight for people. It is called Body Mass Index (BMI).

This BMI calculator can tell you your BMI by using your age, weight and height.

The 2 simplest ways to lose weight are:

  1. Eat Better
    Change from meats, sugary, and fatty foods to more poultry, fish, vegetables and fruits.
  2. Eat Less
    Over time eating a large amount of food stretches your stomach and it takes a large amount of food to feel full. If you are used to filling your plate with food, use a smaller plate, it looks full but has less food. Your stomach will take a month or two to shrink, but it will result in you losing weight and you won't have to eat as much to feel full.
